Ancona, December 11, 2023
Ferretti Group continues to grow, not only in terms of turnover but also of production capacity and efficiency.
In a solemn ceremony attended by representatives of institutions and authorities from the shipbuilding and maritime sector, the new Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard was inaugurated today in Ancona.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Authorities and Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi officially opened this new area in the Superyacht Yard, which is now ready to become an important strategic and operating hub. The building located in Via Enrico Mattei has been extensively refurbished to create a modern, functional environment that will be the new home of the management team, the design and planning office, and the entire department dedicated to aluminium and steel boats.
“2023 is an important year for us, one packed with new developments and even more growth: the dual listing in Milan and Hong Kong, the Ravenna shipyard acquisition and today, here in Ancona, a new space that speaks to the future and to italian luxury,” said Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi. “This new area, which completes the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard, is another step forward for our research into technology and style. It is where our employees will find the ideal environment to fully express their outstanding skills, and where our owners can come to choose the most beautiful boats in the world. Because this is where the dreams of yachting enthusiasts come true.”
The area extends across a total of 4,200 square metres, of which 3,000 sqm of office space, and will be home to the technical office, project managers, project architects, the purchasing office, planning and control, logistics, production management, the construction project engineer and the boat foremen, as well as a spacious, elegant reception area for customers.
The new spaces, the result of work to extend and redevelop an existing building and the Ancona shipbuilding district, take their inspiration from the prestigious boats built by Ferretti Group. The design of the interiors reflects the approach to customisation applied to the yachts, starting with the materials used, such as fine leather, wood and marble. Each space is personalised and loving care is lavished on every single detail, from the hand rails to the model boat display cases.
The Ancona shipyard, which covers a total surface area of over 80,000 square metres, is designed for the construction of pleasure vessels up to 90 metres in length.
This expansion is a key milestone in consolidating the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard as a strategic multi-brand yacht construction hub. It’s where Ferretti Group builds CRN super and megayachts, the entire Custom Line range, Riva yachts over 50 metres and Pershing 140 units.
The shipyard vaunts a 670-tonne travel-lift, used to launch steel and aluminium yachts up to 50 metres in length.
Completing the production site are nine industrial sheds in which up to 24 superyachts can be built in parallel. These modern high-tech sheds all feature state-of-the-art air-extraction, compressed-air and centralised technical-gas systems, heating and power-generation systems, and two overhead cranes for handling and installing materials on board.
The stretch of water that opens out in front is a unique space and a precious resource – a gateway to the Adriatic and a private tourist marina to full effect. Extending 250 metres along the coast, it provides large berths for fitting out and finishing up to 15 superyachts at once, and for tests and inspections through to the delivery of each pleasure boat and superyacht.
On the sustainability and environmental front, a modern tri-generation plant has been producing electric, heat and cooling power for a number of years now at the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard in Ancona.

CUSTOM LINE LAUNCHES THE 18TH NAVETTA 30
STRIKING A REFINED BALANCE BETWEEN COMFORT AND DESIGN
The new superyacht in the brand’s displacement line made its debut at the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard in Ancona

Ancona, November 30, 2023
Comfort, safety, personalisation and seaworthiness are the key strengths of the eighteenth unit in the Custom Line Navetta 30 displacement line, which entered the water last November 7 at the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard in Ancona, during a ceremony attended by all the Custom Line employees who helped create this yacht.
Custom Line’s latest made-to-measure creation for an owner based in the Asia-Pacific region is the result of a design process involving the Strategic Product Department – for the exterior styling – and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department, while the interior architecture is by ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, supported by the expertise of Filippo Salvetti for the exteriors and strategic interior design consulting from the Custom Line Atelier.
With a length of 28.43 m and a beam of 7.3 m, this superyacht delivers ambitious volumes while continuing to convey a feeling of lightness and cruising elegance. The design of the exteriors is defined by the horizontal sweep of the lines towards the bow, giving the yacht a sleek and dynamic silhouette, while maintaining the imprint of timeless classicism. The four-deck configuration amplifies the on-board spaces, which are arranged in settings to capture special moments of conviviality, relaxation and contemplation. The yacht’s large glazed surfaces in the hull and over-two-metre high decks, plus generous stern and bow areas, offer a panoramic view that embraces the horizon and the sea from every angle, creating an immediate sense of space.
The interior and exterior spaces are complementary, and their interconnection translates into a seamless linear continuum designed to optimise how the settings are used and their functions. The interior styling has a classic imprint revisited through a contemporary lens, with the introduction of carbon detailing, sophisticated lacquer finishes and custom textured claddings.
The decorations reflect the owner’s wishes, embodying a sporty chic style that’s enriched by fine materials like nubuck leather, as well as by an intriguing interplay of contrasts between the dark colour tones of polished Orobico marble and the pale shades of Silk Georgette marble, which give the settings elegance and depth.
The dynamism of the contrasts stands out in the well-balanced combination of pale, delicate colour tones such as white, beige and cream, and evocative shades of burnt brown, dark grey and sepia.

CUSTOM LINE NAVETTA 33 - 29TH LAUNCH
DESIGN, ELEGANCE AND INNOVATION
The new unit in the brand's displacement line has entered the water at the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard in Ancona
![]() |
Custom Line announces a new launch: the twenty-ninth unit in Custom Line’s Navetta 33 displacement line touched the water at the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard in Ancona last October 12, taking the total to 17 launches from the beginning of 2023.
The shipyard’s latest made-to-measure creation belongs to an owner family based in the EMEA region and is the result of collaboration between the Strategic Product Committee - which handled the exterior styling - and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department, whose architects and designers created the interiors, with strategic interior design consulting provided by the Custom Line Atelier, along with insights into the customer’s style requirements.
The majestic, refined profile of this 33-metre yacht with a 7.52-metre beam is a statement of class and light-touch sophistication, designed with a special focus on the hull technology and specifically the innovative bulbous bow, which ensures best-in-class seaworthiness and stability, as well as a range of up to 2,000 nautical miles.
All four decks feature generously sized spaces: the large lounges on the main and upper decks, along with the spacious exteriors, are the driving force behind the convivial spirit on board, while the wide body owner’s suite in the bow on the main deck and the four guest cabins on the lower deck ensure privacy and intimacy for guests. Taken together with the interior decoration, these spaces contribute to giving a sense of openness, transparency and continuity between interior and exterior.
In the chic, pared-down design of the interiors, light, rich colours – like milk white, athena grey, ice and cream – are set off against the darker, more seductive tones of bronze, dark grey and earth.
The furnishings and decor are designed according to the owner’s wishes, in collaboration with leading names in the world of design, to create a stylistic elegance that is sophisticated at the same time as being understated, using unique, high-quality materials including Taj Mahal quarzite, Silk Georgette marble and Tivano leather.

FERRETTI YACHTS INFYNITO 90 - JOURNEY TO SUSTAINABILITY
"FURTHER THAN YOU CAN SEE" PERFECTLY EXPRESSES HER DEFINING CHARACTERISTICS
A Focus on the environment, extensive customisation and seriously innovative layout.
![]() |
The new Ferretti Yachts INFYNITO 90 is the first model in the INFYNITO range, which is defined by its signature “Further than you can Sea” concept that perfectly expresses the yacht’s defining characteristics: a focus on the environment, extensive customisation, unprecedented layout innovations and visual continuity between interiors and exteriors.
Presented at the last Cannes Yachting Festival, the yacht is inspired by explorer vessels and designed to cover long distances in absolute comfort. With a length overall of 26.97 metres (88 ft 6 in) and a maximum beam of 7.33 meters (24 ft 1 in), Ferretti Yachts INFYNITO 90 is the result of collaboration between the Strategic Product Committee led by Piero Ferrari and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department, with exterior design by architect Filippo Salvetti and interiors by Ideaeitalia.
The new Ferretti Yachts model brings to market the Group’s F.S.E.A. technology (Ferretti Sustainable Enhanced Architecture), a package of environmentally friendly cruising solutions. One of the most significant is an integrated system that stores the solar energy collected by photovoltaic panels installed on the yacht’s superstructure in an energy bank made up of lithium batteries, which provide eight hours of autonomy at anchor in zero emission and zero noise mode. There was also a special focus on the use of green materials, such as natural and bamboo fabrics, regenerated leather and recyclable materials, ecological water-based paints and lamellar teak with FSC 5 certification used throughout the exteriors.
On INFYNITO 90, the indoor and outdoor settings blend into one another in a groundbreaking continuum, creating generous, customisable spaces based on numerous layout combinations that owners can choose from.
Rounding out the new design is a unique and innovative layout for a yacht in this category.
The focus of all this innovation on INFYNITO 90 and the range as a whole is the ground-breaking All-Season Terrace in the bow. Sheltered by an extension to the superstructure that provides protection in all weather conditions and total privacy, the terrace is a comfortable private area forward that can be fitted out according to the owner’s preferences. This is also the first Ferretti Yachts model to feature a skylounge completely surrounded by windows, with direct access onto the upper deck cockpit.
MAIN DECK
The extreme flexibility of the layout is clear from the outset, not least in the 34-square-metre aft cockpit, which can be decorated with free standing furniture or a panoramic sun pad combined with a formal dining area. The yacht also has a longitudinal garage accessed from the transom, with steps integrated into the lift and enough space for a Williams Diesel-JET 415 Tender.
The main deck, with its walkaround design, is one of the areas that showcases continuity between the interior and exterior spaces.
The generous open space interiors, in fact, create an uninterrupted view that sweeps from the stern of the yacht to the bow.
The owner can choose the configuration that best represents their personality out of three different options. The first unit, for example, features a total open space fitted out with an informal living area aft, containing two facing sofas, and a country kitchen amidships interconnected with both the living room and the dining area forward, which is furnished with a large table seating eight. A more formal version of the deck is also available, with an enclosed galley that the crew can access independently from the port walkway. Both versions include a large pantry and the day head.
Finally, for maximum enjoyment, a layout inspired by larger yachts positions the full-beam master suite, containing an en-suite bathroom and a walk-in closet, in the bow on the main deck.
The All-Season Terrace, one of the most innovative features of the design, is fitted out on the first unit with a Jacuzzi surrounded by sofas. As an alternative, the owner can opt for a panoramic cocktail bar featuring a counter and four bar chairs, or alternatively a series of comfortable sun loungers. All the solutions feature a generous sun pad in the bow. Electrically operated concealed windows can be fitted in all configurations to connect the terrace with the neighbouring interior area.
The forward terrace has a covered central section complete with a bimini top, available in both a fixed version and with tilting glass louvres, as installed on the first unit.
The flexibility of the configuration can also be seen in the two decor moods available: Classic and Contemporary, both created to offer the owner all the pleasure of an elegant, inviting, clean and well-balanced ambiance. While they both share the same unmistakable Made in Italy styling, the Classic mood taps into warm, earthy elements, while Contemporary features glowing woods and fabrics in fresh hues inspired by the colours of the sea. There is clear contamination from residential decor in the form of understatement, softness, and well-balanced forms and materials, without ever tipping into a minimalist style.
The common denominators are Ferretti Yachts’ hallmark soft ceilings, verticality and clean lines, plus the thoughtful use of materials and freestanding furniture.
The huge windows running the length of the main deck lounge, and reprised in the Skylounge, are striking in their design and extend the view to include the natural environment, as well as allowing natural light to flood in.
The view sweeping from stern to bow at the heart of the boat’s concept is practically uninterrupted, not even by the central staircase, which connects the three decks and is contained in a structure formed of eco-leather slats, so that it doesn’t create a visual impediment. The staircase provides a second point of access to the upper deck, in addition to the one in the cockpit.
UPPER DECK
INFYNITO 90 is the first model in the Ferretti Yachts range to feature a skylounge completely surrounded by windows and with direct access onto the upper deck cockpit. Forward of this is the helm station – featuring a Simrad Command integrated dashboard – that in the first unit built is closed off from the convivial zone in the midship section, which features a lounge and TV. An open version of the wheelhouse is also available. In both cases, the Skylounge can accommodate a dining area seating eight. The upper deck cockpit can also be configured with free-standing furniture to create a sunbathing and al fresco dining area.
Ensuring maximum continuity with the outdoor world is always a key priority. Two bridge wings can also be configured on either side of the yacht to facilitate docking manoeuvres.

As well as reflecting CRN’s superlative design and build quality, this accolade underlines the shipyard’s unrivalled ability to turn an owner’s vision and brief into reality.
The features that especially impressed the jury include the taut, svelte lines, the vertical bow and the continual interplay between the internal and external spaces. The generous windows were admired for the glorious natural light that brings out the vivid splashes of colour that are such a feature of the furnishings and materials. On the technical side, the judges also praised the clever use of the open-air garage to keep the yacht under 500 GT, as well as the excellent handling of space to enhance the on-board entertainment experience for the owner and guests.
This 52-metre vessel was designed and built by CRN, which also developed the entire naval architecture. The yard partnered with architecture and design studio Omega Architects, who conceived the external lines, and architects Massari Design, who created all the spacious outdoor guest areas and the well-lit interiors.
Creativity, passion, experience, originality and uniqueness: these are the key elements that go into making every CRN superyacht. The quality shines through in every aspect, from the virtuoso craftsmanship and in-depth technical know-how to the meticulous attention to detail. Recognised for its innovative naval architectures and advanced engineering solutions, CRN specialises in designing exclusive, tailor-made, one-off yachts – perfect fusions of ideas, expertise and professionalism.

CRN M/Y CIAO reflects the character of a knowledgeable owner with a passion for the sea. He was particular about the social zones, requiring roomy, comfortable open-air spaces linked with fluid precision to the large, luminous interiors. The magnificent outdoor areas – like the two palatial lounges with sunbathing area and pool, one on the sun deck and the other on the main deck, or the ample al-fresco dining area on the upper deck – are conceived as multipurpose convivial spaces for enjoying the open-air life to the full in intimate touch with the sea.
CRN M/Y CIAO is a product of creative design, flexible thinking and state-of-the-art technology, a superb example of the Ancona yard’s supreme construction expertise.

WALLYWHY150 MAKES ITS U.S. DEBUT AT FORT LAUDERDALE
THE NEW WALLYWHY150 MAKES ITS U.S. DEBUT IN FORT LAUDERDALE
'set to make waves at the largest in-water boat show in the world'
![]() |
|---|
Fort Lauderdale, October 18th 2023 - Gathering exceptionally positive feedback at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival, the wallywhy150 will make its US debut at the upcoming Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) from 25 to 29 October 2023.
“The wallywhy150 has been developed on the same concept as the larger wallywhy200, and in fact both models were conceived at the same time four years ago,” says Stefano de Vivo, Managing Director at Wally. Following the successful debut of the wallywhy200 in 2021, there’s every reason to be excited about the arrival of her stunning smaller sister. “What we’re doing is offering those same features of the bigger vessel but in a smaller package, with design decisions that have created a unique and ultimately highly liveable 23.99-metre motor yacht with unparalleled interior and exterior spaces, and a layout that will be envied by everyone who sees her. We didn’t see the smaller volume as a compromise,” de Vivo adds, “but rather a challenge and a new way to innovate – and at 150 gross tonnes, the wallywhy150 is actually a true ‘space-ship’, pushing into new frontiers for a sub-24-metre yacht.”
Of course, there are certain key criteria that define the wallywhy200 that were central to the design of the new wallywhy150. There’s the master cabin in the high bow at main deck level complete with sweeping 270-degree panoramic view, and there’s the nod to one-level living found on the wallywhy200 with an extraordinary split-level salon-cum-dining area that leads straight out onto the aft beach, coupled to interior design from Studio Vallicelli Design. Up top, there’s a vast salon en plein air that runs nearly the entire length of the yacht ¬– part sundeck, part chill lounge, and part party space – with the trademark angular hardtop providing shade and weather protection while extending seamlessly from the stealth-style glass raised pilothouse.
The effect is not only immediate in terms of striking aesthetics – unmistakeably Wally – but also in terms of the genius of the spaces and what they offer. This is the traditional idea of what a yacht should be completely inverted to show what a yacht can be: bold, brilliant, and utterly practicable for big days out on the water with family and friends.
The forward master takes everything the wallywhy200 offers and slides it into the smaller 150 with barely a hint of compromise. The comfortable double bed still gets its walkaround space and still benefits from that glorious yawn of a view, a true aquatic amphitheatre to watch the ever-changing play of the sea and sky. Below, there are options for either a VIP, guest double and guest twin cabins, or two VIP cabins. Whichever layout is preferred, the stretch of glass that enwraps the hull and superstructure means vast vistas and natural light in abundance.
Back on the main deck, the interior is split between a lower and upper salon area, with low-rise steps connecting the two. The standard layout would be to have the sofa on the upper level and dining on the lower, but this is not set in stone. Indeed, flexibility is key here, and this space begs to be configured in original ways – and, of course, customisation in function, materials and finishes is the Wally way, meaning each wallywhy150 can bear the unique mark of her owner. In addition, there is an option for an open-plan galley to open up the area even more.
“There are plans to do a few funky configurations to please the different uses of the yacht that different owners will have,” says de Vivo. “Some of our clients will use it as a family boat, some will use it as a dayboat and others will use it as a chase boat. That’s kind of the point – we can provide an exceptional platform and then let people’s imaginations run wild.”
For a yacht that packs in surprises and innovations at every turn, it’s hard to pick out highlights – but the aft terrace on the main deck is a clear contender. “The terrace-on-the sea is as ingrained in Wally’s DNA as carbon fibre,” enthuses Luca Bassani, Wally’s Founder and Chief Designer. “It was first introduced aboard Tiketitan, which had a main salon below deck overlooking the open transom offering unique access to the sea. In 2012 the terrace-on-sea concept was reinterpreted for the first wallyace, which featured an aft owner’s suite and VIP cabin opening onto the terrace-on-the-sea. It’s something that has been there from the beginning and it’s one of the key differentiators Wally has versus other boats, which is the feeling of connection with the sea.” In order to do that, says Bassani, you have to have an uninterrupted view and continuous flow between the inside and outside. It’s an idea the wallywhy150 takes and expands upon to deliver a truly exceptional guest-area experience.
“The terrace-on-the sea concept was then carried over to the new wallytenders and the wallypowers – it’s a fil rouge that connects the Wally DNA, and you could be on a Wally sailing yacht or a wallywhy and they both feel like a Wally,” explains Bassani. “It’s challenging to design, because you are near the water and there’s a lot of engineering that has to be completed to ensure it’s a safe space that won’t get flooded, but our experience comes to the fore in that regard and it’s a feature that is superbly designed and executed on the wallywhy150.”
“Wally design always follows function, so the pilothouse’s angular design which is reminiscent of the wallypower range – and the original wallypower118 in particular – is a consequence of the T-top and is almost a happy coincidence,” Bassani adds. “But when you use the same kind of shapes you end up with the same kind of solutions, and that’s also why we have chosen a similar colour to the 118. It’s a little bit of an homage to that iconic design.”
In engineering terms, Wally has been able to draw not only on its own experience developing ultra-lightweight and geometrically complex sailing and motor yachts, but also on the extensive expertise of the Ferretti Group Engineering team. The result is dramatic, with the hull carrying huge expanses of glass that not only provide the forward, elevated master suite with the trademark wallywhy wraparound bow windows, but also create double-decker full-height windows in the split level salon.
“The structure has to be very well thought out,” says de Vivo, “because basically it’s a glass cage, but you also have to consider the piping and cable runs, air-conditioning ducting and other technical elements that have to be incorporated. There’s a lot of planning and engineering design that goes into it, and the reality is also that we are using glass of a thickness you would typically find on a 50- or 60-metre yacht, which confers exceptional strength to the structure. That is not typical for a sub-24-metre boat.”
The wallywhy150 is not typical in any respect. The aft cockpit flows from the lower part of the salon, creating a vast indoor-outdoor terrace that flows uninterrupted from the upper salon forward to the sea aft. Clever design means stoppers can be raised to separate the lowering aft portion of the terrace from the forward part, creating a seaworthy barrier for passagemaking while allowing unrestricted water access at anchor. The hydraulic aft platform can be lowered both for launching a tender or as a submerged beach and swim platform, and the design allows not only for the carrying of a variety of water toys but also of a 3.9-metre tender.
The wallywhy150 will also offer her owners the capacity for extended cruising, with a range of around 400 miles promised at cruising speed. Powered by optional triple Volvo Penta IPS1350s, the 150 will be capable of a mile-chomping 23 knots top speed, with standard Volvo Penta IPS 1200s delivering 21 knots. Moreover, she will be an exceptional sea boat. “She’s extremely stable,” says Bassani, “and that’s mostly down to her hull shape, but also down to her construction which uses carbon up top to reduce weight aloft.” Of course, she is also offered with stabilisation to ensure comfort both underway and at rest.
The combination of avant garde looks, astonishing spaces and admirable performance perhaps explains why a concept like the wallywhy, which eschews boating convention, already boasts a growing fanbase among owners. “The reach of the wallywhy range has already proven surprising, because Wally has never been for everybody – we’re not afraid to push boundaries of design function, and we always take things to the extreme,” Bassani admits. “But the surprising thing is that a lot of clients who visited the wallywhy200 were very surprised by the volume you get inside, the usability, and the shock of the exterior space, and then it all starts to make sense to them,” he continues. “A lot come back after seeing other boats saying nothing else compares to it, and we believe the wallywhy150, because of what it offers for a 23.99-metre yacht, will garner an even stronger reaction.”
Adds de Vivo, “Like with all new Wallys, the wallywhy150 is revolutionary and it has to be seen, touched, felt and experienced first-hand – it’s very hard to judge without being on board. The spaces and the volumes are incredible. The salon, for example, is over 2.5 metres high,” he continues, “which is crazy when you think about it because it’s a boat under 24 metres – you don’t even get that on a 70-metre yacht. And the deckhead there is curved fore-and-aft and transversally, creating a dome-like effect – it’s just incredible and you have to see it to believe it. We asked a lot to our engineers but when you find those solutions you start to see new opportunities and innovative ideas, like the deckhead, start to evolve. It all comes together and the result is something really new in this highly competitive size range.”

NEW INTERNATIONAL CERTIFICATION FOR CRN
NEW INTERNATIONAL CERTIFICATION IN THE NAME OF SUSTAINABILITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS
'THE SUSTAINABLE POWERED YACHT (SuP-Y) PROJECT AIMS TO INSTALL ADVANCED FUEL CELLS ON BOARD A SUPERYACHT'
![]() |
|---|
Ancona, 11th October, 2023
RINA Services Spa certifies that the SUSTAINABLE POWERED YACHT (SuP-Y) project is sized appropriately and in line with regulatory requirements for safe implementation
CRN, the historic shipyard specialising in the design, engineering and construction of superyachts up to 90 metres, has written an important chapter in the brand’s 60-year history by obtaining special recognition for the SuP-Y: Sustainable Powered Yacht Project. After a year and a half of R&D work together, RINA Services Spa confirms that the Ferretti Group Sustainable Yacht project is sized appropriately for proper functioning and easy management, and meets the regulatory requirements for safe implementation.
A coordinated effort by Ferretti Group Super Yacht Division, Weichai Power Science & Technology Division and RINA Services Spa has made it possible to develop a sustainable architecture that entails the installation of modern fuel cells on board a CRN superyacht. This new technology takes an important step towards the future of yachting, based on an easy-to-manage solution that meets all regulatory requirements to ensure safety on board.
The purpose of the project is to determine a sustainable technical architecture with the most efficient implementation of Fuel Cell technology on board a Ferretti Group Super Yacht. “Sustainable concepts” have been developed for two superyacht naval platforms:
1. Platform 11.50 with hybrid propulsion for yachts from 60m to 70m
2. Platform 14.20 with a diesel-electric power plant for yachts from 75m to 90m
Both architectures are equipped with PEM Fuel Cells as an alternative power source, fed by hydrogen reformed from green methanol and optimized to ensure predefined levels of performance and autonomy: several days in full hotel mode without diesel generators running and the capability to sail in zero emission mode for several hours depending on cruising speed. This approach significantly reduces total emissions and ensures compliance with the strictest environmental standards.
The collaboration with RINA Services Spa confirms and underscores CRN’s commitment to pushing both the boundaries of sustainable maritime applications and the brand’s proactive approach towards the incorporation of sustainable power supplies into their vessels. This initiative shows that the shipyard is at the forefront of adopting greener technologies within the yachting industry.

CUSTOM LINE NAVETTA 38 - A NEW MASTERPIECE IN DESIGN
COMFORT & CONVENIALITY INTERCONNECT BETWEEN EXTERIORS & INTERIORS
''direct contact with the sea, and a new concept full-beam beach club for an outstanding cruising experience'
![]() |
|---|
Ancona, October 2nd, 2023
Custom Line Navetta 38 is the latest made-to-measure yacht in the brand’s displacement line. The first unit is under construction at the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard in Ancona, with delivery planned in 2024.
With a new exterior and interior design and new standards of cruising pleasure, this sublime yacht – 38.76 m in length and 8 m in the beam with a displacement hull under 300 GT – is the result of collaboration between the Strategic Product Department led by Piero Ferrari and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department.
Custom Line Atelier played a strategic role in the design process, working in close contact with the customer to understand and interpret the style desired and transform the yacht into a faithful portrait of the owner.
With exterior styling once again by architect Filippo Salvetti and interior design by ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, the new Custom Line Navetta 38 is a hymn to the values of quality, volume and comfort that have been part of Custom Line’s DNA from the outset.
“The birth of a new Navetta always exceeds expectations. We achieve this goal by drawing on talented designers who create magnificent new balances between form and function. The result is unprecedented elegance, spatial fluidity and absolute comfort. In the case of Custom Line Navetta 38, this added value comes from architect Filippo Salvetti and ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel. Their ideas and diligent work make it possible to experience the sea with absolute intensity, surrounded by style and beauty. Time spent on board Custom Line Navetta 38, when cruising or at anchor, is a harmonious and pleasurable experience without equal” – Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi.
Extraordinary combinations of elegance and liveability, timeless classicism and harmony with the marine environment, direct contact with the sea and seamless continuity between interiors and exteriors are the features that take Custom Line Navetta 38 into a new dimension of cruising.
This superyacht was in fact designed to maximise the usage of all available space on the four decks, with a large master suite of over 40 sq m and completely separated crew and guest flows to ensure maximum privacy. The stern area is a unique and innovative feature on board Custom Line Navetta 38 and a completely new take on the full-beam beach deck concept.
The beach club and main deck cockpit, together covering over 70 sq m, are totally open and furnished with a system of freestanding modular units, thus creating a more extensive, generous and multi-functional area at the water’s edge that embodies the flush deck concept.
The new beach club is an appealing and versatile space catering to guests’ relaxation and recreation needs. The sea-facing couch is great for enjoying the panoramic views, while the spacious swim platform provides direct access to the water. Two gunwales open out to take full advantage of the space and enjoy the experience of the sea to the full. The beach club’s rational and functional layout means that this space is extremely practical and easy to use.
A further accent on the concept of continuity and openness between boat and open sea is the all-glass construction of the parapets in the main deck cockpit and the forward part of the sundeck.
With a total surface area of 70 square metres and 15 metres in length, the extended sun deck becomes an extraordinary space in which to socialise and relax, complete with a spectacular sea-view jacuzzi aft with sun cushions, a sun lounge area forward and an open-air dining area under the shelter of a painted hard top. The entire area is surrounded by expansive glazing that offers a magnificent 180-degree view.
The exteriors are characterised by a timelessly classic design language that features simple, harmonious lines expressing absolute luxury with elegance and refinement. Blending seafaring tradition with sophistication, Custom Line Navetta 38 combines form and function in every detail.
Lines and forms are essential and clean, with a sculptural treatment of surfaces that adds character, strength and a contemporary flavour, though without undermining the yacht’s elegance and harmonious style.
The key word is flexibility: Custom Line Navetta 38 has been designed to enhance the experience offered by its interior spaces. The interior design process, in fact, focused on maximum use of space through optimum control of all the volumes and functional exploitation of the entire available surface area.
Another strong focus was on natural light, with extensive full-height windows creating powerful continuity between external and internal spaces and a feeling of harmony with the marine environment.
The interior design is developed around a concept based on refined detailing and the use of fine materials with natural textures, including various types of leather and also linen and parchment, chosen both for the finishings and the upholstery and coverings. The custom-designed furnishings are skilfully handcrafted by the shipyard’s expert personnel.
A true triumph of style made possible by the collaboration with ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, who have revisited the stylistic features of maritime tradition – from the concept to the colour palette – through a contemporary lens.
And to highlight the union between the boat and the furnishings, the latter are custom designed and made to measure from natural leather and wood using sophisticated handcrafting techniques. The firm of architects has created exclusive decor solutions based on two different moods: the more contemporary “cold mood” that plays with the cool hues of sky and navy blue, and the more classic and timeless “warm mood”, which features a warmer and cosier palette.
Underscoring the possibility for owners to customise the yacht’s interiors, one of the brand’s signature features, the first Custom Line Navetta 38 will have a more neutral mood that further emphasises the bond with nature through natural, muted and neutral colours such as beige and ivory.
In addition to the master suite, Custom Line Navetta 38 has four guest cabins on the lower deck, accommodating a total of 10 people on board and 7 crew members, including the captain.
Ideal for covering long distances with low fuel consumption and to enjoy category- beating performance, the standard engines are 2 MAN units rated 1,400 hp. They drive the yacht to a top speed of 15 knots, with a range of about 2,800 nautical miles at an economy cruising speed of 10 knots (preliminary data). The design is also SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) ready and installing the system brings a 70% reduction in NOx emissions (IMO3 compatible).
Custom Line Navetta 38 features mega yacht technology of the very highest quality, involving the integration of new components and systems on board, including Fratelli Canalicchio standard hydraulics, Najad stabilizer fins and Heinen & Hopman air conditioning systems.

Investments, sustainability and outstanding performance: Ferretti Group brings new products, projects and beautiful boats to the Monaco Yacht Show running from today until September 30. The fleet brought to the show is made up of seven models: Riva 130’ Bellissima, Custom Line Navetta 42 and Custom Line 140’, wallywhy200, wallypower58, Pershing GTX116 and Pershing 140.
The enchanting setting of the Monaco Yacht Show is also an opportunity to celebrate 60 years since the creation of CRN, the Ferretti Group brand that has revolutionised the yachting world with sharp insights and remarkable achievements that have influenced style trends and the global market. CRN celebrates this anniversary by obtaining Sustainable Powered Yacht (SuP-Y) certification and writing an important chapter in the brand’s history of excellence and innovation. A coordinated effort by Ferretti Group Super Yacht Division, Weichai Power Science & Technology Division and Rina Services Spa has made it possible to develop a sustainable architecture that entails the installation of modern fuel cells on board a CRN superyacht.
This new technology is a milestone in the industry and takes the first steps towards the future of yachting, based on an easy-to-manage solution that meets all legal requirements for safe deployment.
“Ferretti Group, and yachting in general, are in a state of grace today that promises a bright future. This positive energy allows and requires us to invest and grow responsibly, focusing on new technologies and sustainable innovations such as those announced in the area of fuel cells,” said Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi. “A good example is set by CRN, our glorious shipyard that celebrates 60 years at the cutting edge with an important certification in the fuel sector. Ferretti Group has the merit and good fortune to have the most iconic brands in the industry, and it is on their solidity and success that we will build the yachting of tomorrow.”
At the press conference traditionally held on the opening day of the Show, the management team first outlined the excellent financial performance of the Group, which after ending fiscal 2022 with outstanding results completed the dual listing of its ordinary shares on Euronext Milan, following their debut last year on the Hong Kong stock exchange. As a result, over 50% of the share capital is traded in the market, making Ferretti Group a public company backed by Italian and international investors.
This is unique on the market and has enabled the Group to continue to deliver outstanding performance: in the first half of 2023, the company reported revenues of €580.8 million (+8.6% compared to the first half of 2022), a margin of 14.7% (+1.2%), a net financial position equivalent to €320 million in cash, and order intake of €573 million in the six-month period. As a result, the order backlog at June 30 increased to €1.410 billion, a rise of about 15.8% on June 30, 2022 (when it stood at €1.2 billion).
The Group isn’t only in excellent financial shape in 2023, because this is also a year of major new developments in terms of products and production capacity, with a 20% increase in global production surface area as a result of recent upgrades and acquisitions (355.4 thousand square metres at the end of 2022 vs 425.4 thousand in the first half of 2023). These investments have made it possible to expand several production sites, not least the Super Yacht Yards in La Spezia and Ancona.
As usual, the Group is joined at the event by luxury industry partners offering guests and visitors a packed programme of events. Land Rover, confirmed as official automotive partner, and private aviation leader Flexjet, plus Agath, Venini, Culti, Perennials and Ethimo providing the elegant outdoor furniture. The numerous Italian partners include Dolce & Gabbana for the tailor-made staff uniforms, Frette, Lavazza with the brand’s latest selection of coffee blends, and La Scolca and Veuve Clicquot offering quality wines and champagne. The Monaco Yacht Club is also providing invaluable support.
