WALLYWIND110 TRANSFORMS MODERN SAILING

A GENUINE UPGRADE TO THE SUPERYACHTING LIFESTYLE

'proven performance and stability'

Wallywind110
September 12th, 2025

The new Wallywind110, with its sleek design and signature Wally style, revolutionises modern sailing with proven performance and stability. Crafted from high-tech carbon fibre, it offers the perfect mix of open-air living, easy handling, and impressive speed.

Key features include a reverse sheer, long-fixed bowsprit, and a streamlined coach roof. The hull is finished in a classic sand grey. Underwater, the design features a fast, stable hull with twin rudders and a telescopic keel (4.50m – 6.95m), complementing its powerful sloop rig. A high modulus carbon mast by Hall Spars, coupled with ECSix multistrand carbon stays, sets the stage for thrilling upwind speed with a generous 660 square metres of main and jib sails in 3Di from North Sails. When sailing downwind, the total sail area expands to an impressive 1,283 square metres.

Timeless Simplicity
The Wally design embodies a modern, minimalist elegance. Despite the sleek exterior, the interior space is surprisingly generous. The layout includes four spacious cabins, with the owner’s suite situated forward alongside a VIP guest cabin, plus two identical guest cabins aft, all accessible via a short companionway from the saloon. Notably, the VIP cabin features flexible twin beds that can convert into a large double by sliding along a hidden track.

On deck
The large guest cockpit is completely insulated from the sailing controls, giving the option of well protected inward-facing seating, or sofas with a view facing out. There are generous lounging spaces for relaxation and socializing.

Elegant outdoor living is a fundamental part of the Wally philosophy, just as much as exhilarating performance. The wallywind110 embodies three decades of innovative thinking, elevating comfort and versatility to new heights. From relaxed dining at anchor under the bimini to lively gatherings on the expansive aft deck, the yacht is designed to deliver outstanding experiences on the water.

Wally conceived this boat as the next step also for an experienced owner of 80-90ft yachts seeking extra space and comfort. By offering a fourth guest cabin and accommodation for up to five crew members, the wallywind110 represents a genuine upgrade to the superyachting lifestyle.

WALLYWIND110 AND WALLYROCKET51 LATEST

RAPID PROGRESS AHEAD OF SUMMER LAUNCH

Wally - World leader in yachting innovation and part of Ferretti Group, combining the latest technology with contemporary design, constantly looking at ways of improving on the water enjoyment with performance, comfort and style.

Rapid progress on the wallywind110 body
Monaco – May 15, 2024

- wallywind110 performance cruiser due to launch in early June
- Second hull already in build
- Pre-preg carbon fibre lamination phase of the wallyrocket51 underway, ready for launch in early August
- Six wallyrocket51 already in production
- 2024 will be a milestone year for Wally’s sailing division

Excitement is growing at Wally as work nears completion on two exceptional sailing boats, as different from each other as night and day. Both the wallywind110 and the wallyrocket51 will be delivered this summer, in time to draw admiring gazes wherever they appear across the Mediterranean.

A massive project, the wallywind110 has been progressing steadily since the Wally brand became part of the Ferretti Group in 2019. Work began in earnest in 2022 and now the audacious dream of an innovative new line of performance cruisers is about to become reality, as the first boat reaches the end of the outfitting phase.

Her all-carbon hull has been laminated on a female mould that ensures her lines require very little finishing and is painted in a luminous light metallic blue that changes slightly as the light hits her. All fittings and interiors are finished to Wally's high standards.

The next big hurdle to leap will be the 40km journey to the sea by truck. Although this is an operation that both the Wally team and the inhabitants of Forlì are familiar with, it will still require careful preparation to avoid overhanging tree branches and to remove road signs where necessary. Once unloaded in the Marina di Ravenna, the wallywind110 will receive her 6.95m telescopic keel, one-piece carbon fibre twin rudders and her towering 48m Hall Spars rig.

With all the main technical systems already tested in the shipyard, it then just remains to put the new boat through her sailing paces in a series of increasingly challenging sea trials. Due for delivery in early June, she will be an exceptional hybrid cruiser capable of roaming the globe or thrilling on the race course – all without sacrificing the comforts of the yachting lifestyle.

One of the most striking features of the wallywind110 is the sheer size of her cockpit area. Reclining on a choice of sofas, sunbeds, loungers or seats, guests can enjoy a vast 80 square metres of cockpit completely unencumbered by sail controls, which are all carefully positioned aft. There’s also a further lounging area around the "terrace on the sea" and another on the foredeck. A second hull is on order and will soon emerge from the moulds.

In a shipyard dedicated to the construction of sail race boats, the wallyrocket51 is also taking shape. Smaller in terms of mere length, this project is set nonetheless to become a giant of the racing world and promises to outperform even the inimitable TP52. Wally is aiming to build nothing less than the world’s fastest race boat on corrected time, thanks to a rigorously studied Botin Partners Naval Architecture hull, and precise in-house engineering.

Hull lamination began in the first week of March, alongside the bulkheads and hull structures, and will be complete in May. Wally’s technical department spent five long months planning the boat in collaboration with the designers and suppliers. The tooling has to be perfect, guaranteeing that every element of the boat could be produced identically. This is the only way to ensure that every wallyrocket is built in exactly the same way. This is the mark of pure one-design racing.

Weight is naturally a key focus, with a comprehensive system for evaluating the impact of every component and design decision. Wally has worked closely with Harken and Cariboni to define and optimise the deck gear and hydraulic systems. The keel will be CNC machined with a titanium trim tab to ensure its perfect operation together with the fin, and Diverse will supply the water ballast system. The sails are developed by North Sails and the first two rigs, already on their way on a ship from New Zealand, are instead signed Southern Spars. In all, six sets of identical equipment have been bulk ordered to cover the first full year of production.

The colour of the hull is perhaps the only detail that remains undecided. What is certain is the famous Wally stripes at the bow and the coveline, which will be painted a different colour on every hull. Not only will this help distinguish the boats on the racecourse, but should also make a fine sight back in the harbour when they’re all moored up alongside.

“The year 2024 is going to be massive for Wally’s sailing history, as we launch our 49th maxi sailing yacht,” said Wally Managing Director Stefano de Vivo. “We’re intensely busy finishing these two very different yachts and starting to build additional hulls of both. The wallywind110 is destined to deliver fast, ambitious cruising wherever in the world her owner wants to take her, while the wallyrocket51 is an all-out racing machine that will revolutionise regattas for passionate owners. What they both share, however, is Wally’s total commitment to innovative solutions, jaw-droppingly attractive looks and a quality that is unmatched. This is our DNA - what Wally has always been about.”

Wally Founder and Chief Designer Luca Bassani said: “We are excited to launch two new sailing models during Wally’s 30th anniversary year. These yachts represent the two extremes of the sailing experience: cruising and racing. Wally has always been able to address both markets by applying the performance principle to every new yacht. Wherever you turn the dial between cruising and racing, a Wally yacht will always be fast and innovative. That is why the brand remains a beacon of light for passionate sailors.”

THE NEW WALLYWHY150 MAKES ITS U.S. DEBUT IN FORT LAUDERDALE
'set to make waves at the largest in-water boat show in the world'

The new wallywhy150 to make its US debutat BODY

Fort Lauderdale, October 18th 2023 - Gathering exceptionally positive feedback at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival, the wallywhy150 will make its US debut at the upcoming Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) from 25 to 29 October 2023.

“The wallywhy150 has been developed on the same concept as the larger wallywhy200, and in fact both models were conceived at the same time four years ago,” says Stefano de Vivo, Managing Director at Wally. Following the successful debut of the wallywhy200 in 2021, there’s every reason to be excited about the arrival of her stunning smaller sister. “What we’re doing is offering those same features of the bigger vessel but in a smaller package, with design decisions that have created a unique and ultimately highly liveable 23.99-metre motor yacht with unparalleled interior and exterior spaces, and a layout that will be envied by everyone who sees her. We didn’t see the smaller volume as a compromise,” de Vivo adds, “but rather a challenge and a new way to innovate – and at 150 gross tonnes, the wallywhy150 is actually a true ‘space-ship’, pushing into new frontiers for a sub-24-metre yacht.”

Of course, there are certain key criteria that define the wallywhy200 that were central to the design of the new wallywhy150. There’s the master cabin in the high bow at main deck level complete with sweeping 270-degree panoramic view, and there’s the nod to one-level living found on the wallywhy200 with an extraordinary split-level salon-cum-dining area that leads straight out onto the aft beach, coupled to interior design from Studio Vallicelli Design. Up top, there’s a vast salon en plein air that runs nearly the entire length of the yacht ¬– part sundeck, part chill lounge, and part party space – with the trademark angular hardtop providing shade and weather protection while extending seamlessly from the stealth-style glass raised pilothouse.

The effect is not only immediate in terms of striking aesthetics – unmistakeably Wally – but also in terms of the genius of the spaces and what they offer. This is the traditional idea of what a yacht should be completely inverted to show what a yacht can be: bold, brilliant, and utterly practicable for big days out on the water with family and friends.

The forward master takes everything the wallywhy200 offers and slides it into the smaller 150 with barely a hint of compromise. The comfortable double bed still gets its walkaround space and still benefits from that glorious yawn of a view, a true aquatic amphitheatre to watch the ever-changing play of the sea and sky. Below, there are options for either a VIP, guest double and guest twin cabins, or two VIP cabins. Whichever layout is preferred, the stretch of glass that enwraps the hull and superstructure means vast vistas and natural light in abundance.

Back on the main deck, the interior is split between a lower and upper salon area, with low-rise steps connecting the two. The standard layout would be to have the sofa on the upper level and dining on the lower, but this is not set in stone. Indeed, flexibility is key here, and this space begs to be configured in original ways – and, of course, customisation in function, materials and finishes is the Wally way, meaning each wallywhy150 can bear the unique mark of her owner. In addition, there is an option for an open-plan galley to open up the area even more.

“There are plans to do a few funky configurations to please the different uses of the yacht that different owners will have,” says de Vivo. “Some of our clients will use it as a family boat, some will use it as a dayboat and others will use it as a chase boat. That’s kind of the point – we can provide an exceptional platform and then let people’s imaginations run wild.”

For a yacht that packs in surprises and innovations at every turn, it’s hard to pick out highlights – but the aft terrace on the main deck is a clear contender. “The terrace-on-the sea is as ingrained in Wally’s DNA as carbon fibre,” enthuses Luca Bassani, Wally’s Founder and Chief Designer. “It was first introduced aboard Tiketitan, which had a main salon below deck overlooking the open transom offering unique access to the sea. In 2012 the terrace-on-sea concept was reinterpreted for the first wallyace, which featured an aft owner’s suite and VIP cabin opening onto the terrace-on-the-sea. It’s something that has been there from the beginning and it’s one of the key differentiators Wally has versus other boats, which is the feeling of connection with the sea.” In order to do that, says Bassani, you have to have an uninterrupted view and continuous flow between the inside and outside. It’s an idea the wallywhy150 takes and expands upon to deliver a truly exceptional guest-area experience.

“The terrace-on-the sea concept was then carried over to the new wallytenders and the wallypowers – it’s a fil rouge that connects the Wally DNA, and you could be on a Wally sailing yacht or a wallywhy and they both feel like a Wally,” explains Bassani. “It’s challenging to design, because you are near the water and there’s a lot of engineering that has to be completed to ensure it’s a safe space that won’t get flooded, but our experience comes to the fore in that regard and it’s a feature that is superbly designed and executed on the wallywhy150.”

“Wally design always follows function, so the pilothouse’s angular design which is reminiscent of the wallypower range – and the original wallypower118 in particular – is a consequence of the T-top and is almost a happy coincidence,” Bassani adds. “But when you use the same kind of shapes you end up with the same kind of solutions, and that’s also why we have chosen a similar colour to the 118. It’s a little bit of an homage to that iconic design.”

In engineering terms, Wally has been able to draw not only on its own experience developing ultra-lightweight and geometrically complex sailing and motor yachts, but also on the extensive expertise of the Ferretti Group Engineering team. The result is dramatic, with the hull carrying huge expanses of glass that not only provide the forward, elevated master suite with the trademark wallywhy wraparound bow windows, but also create double-decker full-height windows in the split level salon.

“The structure has to be very well thought out,” says de Vivo, “because basically it’s a glass cage, but you also have to consider the piping and cable runs, air-conditioning ducting and other technical elements that have to be incorporated. There’s a lot of planning and engineering design that goes into it, and the reality is also that we are using glass of a thickness you would typically find on a 50- or 60-metre yacht, which confers exceptional strength to the structure. That is not typical for a sub-24-metre boat.”

The wallywhy150 is not typical in any respect. The aft cockpit flows from the lower part of the salon, creating a vast indoor-outdoor terrace that flows uninterrupted from the upper salon forward to the sea aft. Clever design means stoppers can be raised to separate the lowering aft portion of the terrace from the forward part, creating a seaworthy barrier for passagemaking while allowing unrestricted water access at anchor. The hydraulic aft platform can be lowered both for launching a tender or as a submerged beach and swim platform, and the design allows not only for the carrying of a variety of water toys but also of a 3.9-metre tender.

The wallywhy150 will also offer her owners the capacity for extended cruising, with a range of around 400 miles promised at cruising speed. Powered by optional triple Volvo Penta IPS1350s, the 150 will be capable of a mile-chomping 23 knots top speed, with standard Volvo Penta IPS 1200s delivering 21 knots. Moreover, she will be an exceptional sea boat. “She’s extremely stable,” says Bassani, “and that’s mostly down to her hull shape, but also down to her construction which uses carbon up top to reduce weight aloft.” Of course, she is also offered with stabilisation to ensure comfort both underway and at rest.

The combination of avant garde looks, astonishing spaces and admirable performance perhaps explains why a concept like the wallywhy, which eschews boating convention, already boasts a growing fanbase among owners. “The reach of the wallywhy range has already proven surprising, because Wally has never been for everybody – we’re not afraid to push boundaries of design function, and we always take things to the extreme,” Bassani admits. “But the surprising thing is that a lot of clients who visited the wallywhy200 were very surprised by the volume you get inside, the usability, and the shock of the exterior space, and then it all starts to make sense to them,” he continues. “A lot come back after seeing other boats saying nothing else compares to it, and we believe the wallywhy150, because of what it offers for a 23.99-metre yacht, will garner an even stronger reaction.”

Adds de Vivo, “Like with all new Wallys, the wallywhy150 is revolutionary and it has to be seen, touched, felt and experienced first-hand – it’s very hard to judge without being on board. The spaces and the volumes are incredible. The salon, for example, is over 2.5 metres high,” he continues, “which is crazy when you think about it because it’s a boat under 24 metres – you don’t even get that on a 70-metre yacht. And the deckhead there is curved fore-and-aft and transversally, creating a dome-like effect – it’s just incredible and you have to see it to believe it. We asked a lot to our engineers but when you find those solutions you start to see new opportunities and innovative ideas, like the deckhead, start to evolve. It all comes together and the result is something really new in this highly competitive size range.”

WALLY UNVEILS THE WALLYROCKET51

WALLY UNVEILS ONE-DESIGN RATING-BUSTER RACE MODEL: WALLYROCKET51
“Fast, fun, smart and revolutionary, as all Wallys”

Wally unveils onedesign ratingbuster race BODY

Monaco – 19 September 2023

Wally’s sailing yachts have always been icons of style and innovation, setting benchmarks for performance and turning traditional thinking on its head. Now, knowledge, flair, precision and passion has been channeled into a new design which represents a new direction for the brand. It is born from an aim to create the world’s fastest race boat that can thrill as a one-design class but which can thread her way to the top of the podium against the elite in IRC and ORC racing by sailing faster and rating lower than anything around her. This is wallyrocket51.

At 15.5 metres LOA, wallyrocket51 sits right in the pocket of the classic 52-footers. She measures slightly shorter than a TP52, but she is designed to beat them thanks to innovative features, ultralight displacement and an exhaustively refined hull. Moreover, Wally’s design team has worked on wallyrocket51’s design with Botin Partners – a team whose resumé includes the America’s Cup, and whose yacht designs have taken 12 consecutive TP52 season titles, ORC world championships and Rolex Maxi Cup titles, among many others.

“The idea of Wally was to make a very strict one-design class that could provide pure racing, that was high-tech and that could provide a lot of fun, but which could also be very competitive under IRC and ORC rating rules,” begins Adolfo Carrau, Partner at Botin Partners Naval Architecture. “That was the starting point. We began with a 52-foot design because of our knowledge in that size and the fact that it’s also a size that has proven competitive in all conditions and sea states. But the first secret of the wallyrocket51 design,” he teases, “is that it’s not a 52-footer, it’s a 51-footer.”

It's a critical factor, because it has allowed the design team to optimise the hull, underwater appendages and sailplan by getting a rating bonus that could be spent on other elements. Those include a displacement of just 6.3 tons in measurement condition – making it the lightest racing boat out there – which makes the wallyrocket51 very reactive, super-fast downwind and quick to plane. But while that would normally mean a disadvantage upwind, wallyrocket51 employs a feature that dominated the 2007 America’s Cup – an adjustable trim tab on the trailing edge of the keel. This produces a huge amount of lift upwind on a smaller keel stem profile, reducing resistance and delivering neutral leeway. With the water flow aligned with the boat, there’s a big reduction in hull drag which means in spite of having a shorter waterline length, the wallyrocket51 will be able to sail higher and faster than competitors.

Additionally, one of the world’s most successful competitive sailors, Vasco Vascotto, alongside Argentinian sportsboat ace Guillermo Parada have advised as project developers. Their combined Olympic and America’s Cup experience have been put to excellent use making the wallyrocket51 easier to handle with less crew and more fun to sail. They have also been instrumental in shaping the forthcoming wallyrocket one-design series.

“With the wallyrocket51 we are making a yacht that everyone is looking for and everyone wants. A yacht able to perform in all regatta fields, but at the same time that maintains the design and that is fun and that respects the standards of the most modern yachts and possibly exceeds them,” said Vasco Vascotto.

“It has been an incredibly interesting challenge to contribute to the development of a one-design boat that not only introduces a new class for Wally but will challenge the most competitive vessels in other classes around the world.” adds Guillermo Parada. “We are extremely satisfied with the end result, which not only needs to be fast and competitive but also technologically advanced, easy to sail and comfortable to navigate, as all the Wally are!”

The wallyrocket51 can be raced by a crew of just 11; a water ballast system in the aft quarters not only helps with righting moment but also delivers more neutral pitch, which further improves hull resistance. The system has a 550-litre capacity, takes 80 seconds to fill, 60 seconds to ditch, and just 10 seconds to transfer from side to side, making it a breeze to fine-tune in any conditions. The combination of keel trim tab and water ballast has been cleverly designed to offer a greater performance gain than the rating sacrifice they entail which, in combination with the length and displacement advantages, will give the wallyrocket51 the edge at all points of the race course.

Deck ergonomics have also been considered to cater to the smaller crew, and twin grinder pedestals provide grunt to everything from mainsail trim to hydraulics thanks to a clever switching system. The amidships grinder can also be replaced by an electric motor to provide power to winches for shorthanded racing.

“This project represents a truly unique approach to the creation of a new boat that was very much needed in today’s competitive landscape for this size. The wallyrocket51 is very close to our hearts and has eluded us for years as we sought to develop a design that could win any regatta in the world,” says Stefano de Vivo, Wally’s Managing Director. “We have cracked it at last, and we anticipate strong demand for the wallyrocket51 once the world sees it perform. This is a boat that will appeal to all those owners who love to race at the highest level but want to do so in a new and entertaining way.”

With her design team having such intimate knowledge of the 52-foot arena it’s evident the design will stack well in the melee, but while wallyrocket51 has been conceived as the ultimate set-course maestro, that’s not all she is capable of. “We looked at everything, from windward-leeward courses in 6 to 25 knots of wind, to the classic offshore 600-milers such as the Rolex Middle Sea, Rolex Giraglia, RORC Caribbean 600 or Fastnet,” explains Carrau. “It’s a very versatile boat and it goes well upwind, downwind and reaching – and it’s also engineered to ISO Cat-A so it can do any offshore race. Indeed, our simulations show that she can beat her competition under IRC or ORC in any of those inshore or offshore scenarios.”

Wally created the wallyrocket51 to provide owners with a one-design racing boat that will allow them to enjoy family cruises while also having a strong chance of securing podium positions in regattas. The shipyard has developed this advanced design in a year, and it is expected to achieve significant success among sailors because the new model effectively balances both fun and sporty aspects.

In other aspects, wallyrocket51 draws on proven, cutting-edge build materials and methodologies. The hull is pre-preg carbon with Corecell, while Nomex is used as the core for the deck. The rig is by Southern Spars, made in High Modulus carbon fibre, with Future Fibres AeroSix standing rigging, and the sail areas include 163.9 square metres upwind and 361 square metres downwind. Winches are Harken Air Winch, and the jammers in the pit are Spinlock.

“Fast, fun, smart and revolutionary, as all Wallys” enthuses Luca Bassani, Wally’s Founder and Chief Designer. “With her dramatic reverse sheerline, flush deck and long bowsprit, the wallyrocket51 is instantly part of the family. And true to Wally’s DNA she will feature some ground-breaking innovations that not only make it the most competitive vessel, but also reduce the annual running costs versus the existing one-design classes today.”

The first wallyrocket51 is already under construction and it is scheduled to launch in 2024.

WALLYPOWER50 - SET TO DEFINE A GENRE

HOW WALLY'S NEW WALLYPOWER 50 IS SET TO REDEFINE A GENRE - AGAIN.
 THE EVOLUTIONARY LINK

Changing perceptions Why Wallys new wallywhy150 BODY

Cannes – 14 September 2023

Wally and the Ferretti Group are no strangers to launching class-leading, ground-breaking, breathtaking new models, and at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2023 another future icon is set to join the ranks. Welcome to the wallypower50, that serves as the magic connection between utility and comfort, between performance and style, and between form and function.

“The new wallypower50 is a real key addition to the range, serving as a link between the wallytenders and the wallypowers,” says Stefano de Vivo, Managing Director at Wally. “As such we have imbued it with everything that both ranges offer, and more besides – the wallypower50 sets a new standard for being flexible, practical, dynamic and – of course – iconic. It is the ultimate example of the evolution of a species and it highlights once again that Wally remains several steps ahead of anything else on the market.”

Flexible
Key to the wallypower50 is the ethos that has been applied to its design and its options list. At its core, it’s the natural little sister to the wallypower58 unveiled to great acclaim in 2022 – it borrows from those same design cues and offers the same comfort on deck and below for fun days out and weekends on the water.

But the wallypower50 is more than just the baby of the wallypower range. The concept for its design revolved around creating a bridge between the more open style of the wallytender43 and wallytender48 and the larger wallypower58. The result is a model that can be specced to a seemingly endless array of operational profiles for a vast array of customers, from support vessel to standalone family cruiser.

Practical
The multifaceted nature of the wallypower50 is not just an idea on paper – it is carried through to the extensive options list that allows it to become whatever her owners need it to be. Her clean lines and stem design reflect the iconic style of the larger wallypowers, but the wallypower50 can also be specified with the wraparound fender of the wallytenders for those seeking more practical applications.

The wallypower50 also comes with a practical alternative to the wallypower58’s central aft sunpad – in this case, two separate sunbeds which maximises the use of space on deck, particularly with the wings, which mirror those on the wallypower58, opened creating an additional 6 square metres of aft deck space.

There is also practicality in the wallypower50’s layout, with an upper cockpit area providing ample seating for eight guests under the coachroof plus four more on two forward-facing bench seats; below there is a large, open space that offers the ultimate in flexibility, plus a comfortable bathroom with separate shower, a large couch, and an inviting double bed. It’s the ultimate weekender pied-a-terre, complete with natural light from above and the optional addition of Wally’s Magic Portholes below, as seen on the wallypower58.

The closed cockpit is pushed far forward to provide space for inside/outside living, allowing its use in all weather conditions.

Dynamic
A Wally isn’t a Wally if it doesn’t perform on the water, and the wallypower50 doesn’t disappoint the expectations. It draws on the same propulsion package installed in the wallytender48, so it is already proven to be reliable and robust across a range of operational demands. At its heart are twin Volvo Penta IPS650s that can take the wallypower50 past 36 knots, while offering both a 30-knot cruise and easy joystick handling with DPS (optional) in close-quarters manoeuvres. The deep-V hull ensures a faster cruise in bigger seas, and the model is also offered in the X version with quad 400hp Mercury outboards that deliver a scintillating ride at 48 knots while still offering a 240-nautical-mile range.

If the optional Mercury 500hp Racing configuration is chosen, the wallypower50X can exceed 50 knots of maximum speed, with a range of 180 nautical miles.

Iconic
With unlimited dayboat potential and elegant overnight facilities for two, integral versatility and superb handling, the wallypower50 is the natural progression from a wallytender while also serving as an entry point to the iconic wallypower looks, convenience, innovation, style and performance.

“You can draw a direct line from the original, legendary wallypower118 to the wallypower50,” says Luca Bassani, Wally’s Founder and Chief Designer. “The wallypower118’s heart beats within the wallypower50 and the wallypower118’s sharp, angular lines, deep-V hull and aggressive double-chine profile are mirrored in the wallypower50’s dynamic and seaworthy hull – but the wallypower50 is perhaps the purest and most essential in form yet to earn the ‘power’ epithet. What’s more, its ability to be anything from chase boat to dayboat, offering everything from utilitarian support to ultimate style makes it another milestone launch for Wally.”

CHANGING PERCEPTIONS
YOU ONLY HAVE TO STEP ON BOARD TO SEE 'WHY'

Changing perceptions Why Wallys new wallywhy150 BODY

Cannes – 11 September 2023

Late this summer, a new member of the Wally family will make her international debut – and with it, the understanding of what you can expect in a sub-24-metre yacht will change forever. Wally has long been considered a benchmark of advanced design, and its iconic ranks are about to be joined by the all-new wallywhy150.

There’s the master cabin in the high bow at main deck level complete with sweeping 270-degree panoramic view, and there’s the nod to one-level living found on the wallywhy200 with an extraordinary split-level saloon-cum-dining area that leads straight out onto the aft beach, coupled to interior design from Studio Vallicelli Design. Up top, there’s a vast saloon en plein air that runs nearly the entire length of the yacht ¬– part sundeck, part chill lounge, and part party space – with the trademark angular hardtop providing shade and weather protection while extending seamlessly from the stealth-style glass raised pilothouse.

Back on the main deck, the interior is split between a lower and upper saloon area, with low-rise steps connecting the two.

The result is dramatic, with the hull carrying huge expanses of glass that not only provide the forward, elevated master suite with the trademark wallywhy wraparound bow windows, but also create double-decker full-height windows in the split level saloon.

The aft cockpit flows from the lower part of the saloon, creating a vast indoor-outdoor terrace that flows uninterrupted from the upper saloon forward to the sea aft.

The saloon, for example, is over 2.5 metres high,” he continues, “which is crazy when you think about it because it’s a boat under 24 metres – you don’t even get that on a 70-metre yacht.

Fortunately, it won’t be too long before you will be able to experience it for yourself – the wallywhy150 will have her international debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival from 12 to 17 September 2023, and without doubt will be one of the most interesting launches of the year. You only have to step on board to see Why.

Monaco, July 13th 2023 - Wally is proud to present the new wallywhy150 at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2023 (12-17 September).

The wallywhy150 was created by the experienced Wally-Ferretti Group Engineering team, with Studio Vallicelli Design responsible for her exceptional interior design. Offering unparalleled exterior spaces on a 78-foot yacht was at the heart of the concept behind the wallywhy150, which sports a raised pilothouse design.

Wally’s goal was to anticipate market demands developing a yacht capable, once again, of being ahead of its time, starting from those innovative features that made the wallywhy200 successful. With its 24-meter length and 150 GT, the wallywhy150 is a flexible yacht, ideal for experienced owners who fully understand and appreciate the skillful use of space, the considerable living areas and its unmistakable personality. For nearly 30 years Wally has been designing and building cutting-edge yachts, which have led to epochal changes in yacht design.

The exterior areas of the wallywhy150 are unmatched for her size: the upper deck is completely open, giving an enormous amount of protected space on top. On board owner and guests can enjoy a full dining setting on the sundeck, a sunbathing area, a shaded lounge and much more – almost the full length of the boat is outside.
Another important detail of the wallywhy150 is the floor-to-ceiling glass which dominates the design of the vessel.

Accommodation on board the wallywhy150 includes a master cabin located forward on the main deck – as on the wallywhy200 – which showcases 270-degree panoramic views and a stunning, grand “amphitheatre of the sea” design, thanks to her unusually high bow.

Additional accommodation is found on the lower deck, which can either be configured in 1 VIP cabin + 1 double and 1 twin guest cabin layout or in a 2-VIP cabin layout, with all of the staterooms benefitting from the illuminating effects of their huge windows which create an airy and modern feel on board.

It is the simplicity and accessibility of the layout which makes it so appealing to a huge range of clients – it offers the ultimate flexible platform for those looking to expand the horizon of traditional planing-craft usage. This is the first vessel with direct access to the sea at cockpit level with no stairs necessary – it is effectively a floating loft on the water.

The aft deck of the wallywhy150 offers a large, unencumbered platform – including both a hydraulic multipurpose ladder and a rising platform. Owners are able to outfit this area as desired, with the capacity to bring all types of water toys on board, as well as a large 3,90-metre (12’8’’) tender.

When powered by her optional three IPS1350 engines, the wallywhy150 can reach a maximum speed of 23 knots, or 21 knots with the standard propulsion of three IPS1200 engines.
