The highly anticipated debut of the Itama 70 took place on May 21 at the Ferretti Group’s state-of-the-art production facility in Ravenna.
Measuring an impressive 21.23 meters in length and 5.30 meters in beam, the Itama 70 beautifully preserves the hallmark traits that have elevated the brand to iconic status. Yet, it also introduces a range of stylish design innovations aimed at enhancing the onboard cruising experience.
Noteworthy features include a generous sunpad at the bow, which is seamlessly integrated into the deck, and sleek side windows that stretch along the hull, reinforcing the yacht's graceful silhouette while fostering a deep connection with the sea.
The main deck is a haven for social interaction and relaxation. At the stern, a versatile beach area effortlessly accommodates and launches a 3.25-meter tender, while the spacious sunpad—an enduring element of Itama’s legacy—effortlessly flows into the dining area through an integrated backrest, creating a harmonious continuity among the various spaces. An inviting U-shaped dining area is thoughtfully paired with a teak-top table, positioned opposite a wet bar that can transform into a chaise longue with an added cushion—making it the perfect spot for lounging by the water. To add to the comfort, this area is shaded by an electric bimini top that features integrated lighting. The helm station is situated on the port side, featuring a cozy bench seat designed for two. The console of this inaugural unit showcases two 16-inch chartplotter touch displays, providing both intuitive and advanced navigation controls.
Below deck, the ambiance is both inviting and elegant, striking a perfect balance between functionality, natural light, and sophisticated materials. The layout comprises three cabins, including a master suite at the aft, each equipped with en suite bathrooms. There’s also a well-appointed corner galley and a snug dinette crafted to enhance the comfort of life below deck.
As for performance, the first Itama 70 is equipped with an optional engine package that consists of two MAN V12 units, each boasting 1,550 horsepower. This powerful configuration propels the yacht to an exhilarating top speed of 40 knots, with a comfortable cruising speed of 35 knots—numbers that are sure to delight. Additionally, the vessel includes a Seakeeper NG14 gyroscopic stabilizer, ensuring a smooth and stable ride no matter the conditions.
