The Itama 54 redefines onboard comfort, transforming living spaces to deliver the ultimate cruising experience.
Itama is excited to reveal the Itama 54, a fresh addition to its lineup that marks a return to the 50 to 59-foot open cruiser segment. This model maintains the brand's signature Italian elegance while focusing on enhanced comfort and spaciousness throughout the living areas.
Unveiled at BOOT Düsseldorf this year, the Itama 54 is a product of collaboration between the Ferretti Group Product Strategy Committee, led by Piero Ferrari, and the Group’s Engineering Department. The stunning interior design and exterior aesthetics are crafted by Tommaso De Luca.
Measuring 16.44 meters in length and boasting a beam of 4.73 meters, the Itama 54 embodies the brand's minimalist style, ensuring it remains an icon. With innovative features that promote a new level of freedom both onboard and at sea, this model is set to impress.
The exterior design of this model elegantly reinterprets the brand’s signature lines. A standout feature is the generously sized forward sun pad, seamlessly integrated into the deck. It boasts a subtly recessed central section that creates a step, enhancing the visual flow of the boat's exterior. Unlike earlier models, the access to the bow is now positioned on the starboard side rather than at the center of the windscreen. This change facilitates a more convenient ascent and allows the hatch to remain open, ensuring easy access to both the bow and lower deck. Another unique aspect of this design is the transom, which angles outward at the rear. This intentional shape not only adds a dynamic touch to the boat’s lines but also creates a surprisingly spacious storage area of 1,800 liters beneath the sun pad, perfect for stowing water toys. The deck layout prioritizes onboard comfort. The aft section of the main deck predominantly features an expansive sun pad, a hallmark of the brand, complemented by a passageway on the port side for easy boat access.
A groundbreaking element of the Itama 54 is its dual cockpit arrangement that introduces two distinct relaxation zones, each furnished with C-shaped sofas accommodating up to 10 guests. The classic aft cockpit includes a table with an adjustable mechanism, allowing for a seamless transition between lounging and dining. The innovation continues with the second cockpit located behind the windscreen, providing shelter from the wind and spray while underway. Positioned between the two sofas is a practical icebox for keeping drinks cool and within easy reach. Both cockpits are enhanced by a spacious bar unit located on the port side, while the helm station is thoughtfully placed alongside, featuring a comfortable seating arrangement and an advanced floating dashboard.
The lower deck features two cabins, two bathrooms, a galley, and a cozy dinette. The master cabin at the bow boasts a central bed with two large storage drawers beneath and two wardrobes for ample storage. Located midship, the guest cabin can be set up with either a queen-size bed or bunk beds, catering to various needs. Adjacent to the well-equipped galley is a dinette complete with a sofa and an optional folding table for added flexibility.
The interior design mirrors the exterior’s emphasis on simplicity and functionality. Materials like wood, leather, and fabric have been thoughtfully selected to create an inviting and elegant ambiance, all while ensuring practicality. Notably, the Itama 54 incorporates innovative side glazing that extends the length of the hull, resulting in a strikingly modern profile.
As for performance, the Itama 54 is equipped with MAN's latest generation i6 engines. The standard model features a pair of MAN i6-730 engines (730 HP), achieving a top speed of 33 knots and a cruising speed of 28 knots. Alternatively, the optional version comes with a pair of MAN i6-850 engines (850 HP), reaching a maximum speed of 37 knots and a cruising speed of 33 knots, based on preliminary data.
