FERRETTI YACHTS 550 RENEWED FLYBRIDGE MADE ITS DEBUT AT THE CANNES YACHTING FESTIVAL 2017, VISITORS WITNESSED THE REGENERATION OF ONE OF FERRETTI GROUPS GREATEST SUCCESSES IN RECENT YEARS.
With over 20 units sold in 2 years, this nautical masterpiece won over critics and marketplace alike, and is set to do it again with its elegant and sporty character, enhanced by stylish furnishings.
Ferretti Group has chosen to emphasise the ground-breaking elements already accomplished on the 55ft Ferretti Yachts 550, such as the main deck’s continuous glazing which cuts through the yachts profile accentuating its dynamic look; and the large glazed windows with flush portholes on the hull sides that flawlessly complement the design by offering magnificent views and natural light.
The interiors have been restyled and now consist of an indulgent collection of furnishings from prestigious luxury brands offering sophisticated expressions of “Made in Italy” quality. Throughout the vessel, the flamed walnut, opaque / greyish-beige and quartz-coloured lacquered surfaces combine with a light-coloured fabric for soft furnishings and ceiling panels to convey a homely feel.
The layout includes three guest cabins and two heads, with the full-beam master stateroom being preceded by an entry room fitted with a storage cabinet and second washing machine/tumble dryer (if required). The VIP cabin at the foredeck, has two wardrobes and a vanity set with a stool, which in the layout with three heads can be replaced by a private bathroom with shower.
In addition to the cockpit, the NEW Ferretti 550 presents owner and guests with two large outdoor relaxation areas. The flybridge is dominated by a large dinette area, and a large sunbathing area is located on the foredeck, fitted with a double-edged sunpad that also serves as a backrest for the dinette aft seat.
A tender lift is featured on the aft swimming pool platform, with an extending slide that allows a tender of up to 3.25m to be safely and effortlessly launched and hauled in.
Equipped with a pair of MAN i6-730 CR engines, with a power of 735 MHP at 2,300 RPM, the Ferretti 550 can accelerate to a maximum speed of 30 knots and a cruising speed of 25 knots, with a range of 280nm and 310nm respectively.
There is also a bow thruster installed as standard, and to ensure comfort at anchor and facilitate berthing manoeuvres a gyroscope stabilizing system can be installed.
